Recreational Flying Trapeze

Students of all levels learn the basics of flying trapeze. All students are harnessed to safety lines controlled by our highly trained staff as they learn the basics of swinging. Each student will have the instruction and opportunity to attempt a knee-hang catch where the student flies to the hands of our catcher. This is a great family or team-building exercise -- bond as you cheer on others! For ages 4 and above.

What to wear

Fitted, comfortable clothing, hair pulled back, no jewelry. Tumbling shoes or socks must be worn (no street shoes!)

Physical Requirements

Students must be less than 250lbs without any health issues that would prevent safe enjoyment of the sport.

Beginner Flying Trapeze

Beginner flying trapeze introduces the swing, timing, and body positions used in flight. Instructors guide you through each stage, starting on the ground.

The flying trapeze session starts with our ground school, where students learn the key parts of equipment and the different skills required as they work towards a knee-hang catch. Students will start with building comfort with practice swings. After they are comfortable with swinging, they'll progress towards practicing the knee-hang maneuver and finishing with an attempt at a catch to the hands of our catcher.

You will be securely harnessed in safety lines for every flight as you learn the fundamentals of trapeze technique — from takeoff to crossing to a catcher. Instruction focuses on body awareness, timing, and aerial control.

No previous trapeze experience is required for beginner sessions. Check the session’s age and physical requirements before booking.

Intermediate/Advanced Flying Trapeze

Intermediate and advanced classes develop tricks “out of lines,” returns to the board, and board work. Ask the coaching team which session is appropriate for your experience.
