Ever wanted to learn clowning skills and character work? This class will explore the art of clowning and character work.
We will explore comedic three beats by playing in duos and trios and by learning traditional French clown entrees. We will be improvising using physicality and play in the spirit of commedia dell'arte utilizing slapstick and mask technique. Students will have opportunities to share their work and receive feedback in this laboratory setting.
What to wear
Close-fitting clothing that allows for movement.
Physical Requirements
Students must be free of injuries that would prevent safe enjoyment of the class. Our beginner classes are easily adapted to the strength of the student. If you have special needs, please contact us and we can see how best we can accommodate you.
